Visited to discuss Pilonidal Sinus Surgery.

Very good doctor, ********* ************** doctors usually don’t like patients that read too much about diseases on the internet because of the misinformation and that’s understandable but this doctor wasn’t phased by the fact that I had a bit of surface level knowledge about my disease. I asked maybe 30 questions and he answered all questions very comprehensively and patiently, and was ready for more. Made me feel very comfortable.

Great doctor I’d definitely recommend him to anyone.

The hospital is fantastic too. If you register and pay online and show up on time you don’t have to wait hours like some other hospitals. I waited a total of 0 seconds. Walked into the hospital and straight into the consult.

My name is Biswanath Mahato staying in Bangalore.

My father had gallbladder stone and he was in very bad situation as every night after taking food he use to have pain in stomach. It was so severe sometime that I went to nearest hospital emergency.

I had no reference in Bangalore who is best Gastroenterology specialist. I just googled and thank god I got Govind Sir. My father is doing fine now.

Govind Sir use to fly in different cities for his patients. I will remember the day when I was not able to reach Columbia Asia due to traffic in Bangalore. It was a checkup after operation.

Believe me, I always had faith on doctors. But I never saw a doctor waiting in front of a hospital. Govind Sir had flight just after sometime. And he was waiting for his patient Mr. Nabakumar Mahato (my father).

I would like to share my thoughts and frustration with this hospital

I have three experiences to share with this hospital. First was 6 years back when my baby was delivered as initially I agreed with them 60k package and finally my bill was 1.8 lakes and when I asked the reason for this huge difference they said it's due to the fact that my baby was delivered on weekend *** **** ******* * **** ** ********* ********* ***** I did not have any other option

Second incident was my father in law went for a checkup and they said he has tumors in brain and he needs to get operated, we took second opinion *** ***** *** ********

Third time was this week I took my mother for gastro problem and by mistake I took appointment with a Gastro sergion Dr Govind, they charged me 1150 for consultation and this doctor was in hurry and he did not even did any physical examination and left. During the process I realised that we should have gone to a gastrologist and when I asked to change the appointment as we did not get any prescription they are asking me to pay the fee again. As a customer I feel helpless and thought so sharing my thoughts with you

My father underwent a partial liver resection surgery owing to a malignant tumor present in his liver at Columbia Asia Referral Hospital a month ago. The surgery in itself was a complicated one but was dealt with so much ease by Dr Govind Nandakumar. During the resection he realized that even the gall bladder and a part of the colon that was badly infected needed to be cut and join the rest of it...he didn't make any issue that the patient's family was not available for the discussion during the surgery and he gave a thorough explanation to me over the phone. He also made sure he stepped out of the operation theater and explained it to me in person the moment I reached the hospital. His ability to hold a compassionate space for the patient's family and also ensure that he is in full control of the role of a "surgeon" to do what’s best with utmost transparency is hard to symphonize. Dr Govind certainly walks the talk and is genuinely concerned for the well-being of his patients.

Dr Govind treated my son. He is an excellent professional with a lot of empathy for his patients. He explained all the complicated matters related to surgery in layman terms to us. He even encouraged me to explore different opinions. Amazing professional with magic in his hands. Blessed to have him as my son's doctor. Very highly recommended.

After my 2nd opinion I decided for the Laparoscopy surgery for removing the gall bladder with Dr Govind. He explained me everything about the procedure for the surgery. I never had to wait for more than 10 mins for my turn.
